The Kid's Rooms

The other day I thought of something, I never did put up any 'after' pictures of the rooms. So I thought what best to start with would be the kids rooms. Of course the boys room has already changed just from a few days ago when I took the pictures and Emma's well, yeah I'm not fully content with it, for sure, she does need a new bed. Anyway, on to the pictures!

Christopher and Matthew's Room

That is Christopher's bed.

Here you can see the tail end of Matthew's.

And now Emma's Room.

Have you ever seen those virtual tours online? Well here are a couple of the kids rooms!

Karate!

Yup that is right Christopher is taking karate. He is learning Tae Kwon Do. It is so cute to watch him too. So far he has already had 2 classes. He goes Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. And now since I need to finish dinner and my mind it just a jumble of thoughts, the pictures you would all like to see and video!

It's Been One Month

So I guess it has been one month exactly since I posted a blog. I usually am so tired and/or have so much I'm trying to yet squeeze into the day that it just doesn't happen but then there are those times (and really right now is one of them) where when I think about it, I just don't have the heart to do it. Let me explain this.

So it was actually my mom that pointed it out to me. The day the flowers arrived, the last post I posted, just happened to be exactly 5 months since Jesse deployed. I talked on the computer with him one more time after that day and then that was that for 13 days. The only reason I got a call on the 13th day was because I was having such a hard time I had them send a message down range (it means someone from the company still stationed here emailed or called someone in the company in Iraq).

Things were good for a bit. He bought a cell phone so he could keep in touch with me more. He has to prepay on it (it runs about $0.20 per min). Now here is where my heart isn't in blogging right now. The last I heard from him, was 9 days ago. He called me the night before Valentine's Day (his Valentine's Day). We talked for a very long time, in fact, he ran out of time. He said he was going to purchase more minutes but that was the last I have heard from him.

Today marks 6 months since we said good-bye, or rather, I'll see you later. Since the kids and I last hugged and kissed him. So I guess you can figure, if you don't see a blog from me, I'm either really busy (and I'm trying so hard to surprise him with some new things on R&R, including a new me - works:) ) or my heart just isn't in it to blog and needs some time.

I know you all want to see the kids, so here are a couple pics I took Valentine's night. They are all tucked in with the new blankets I made them. I got them a little bit of candy but I thought the blankets were even better (and won't rot the teeth :) ).

He Loves Me!

Like it isn't a known thing but I just had to share how much he showed me today. I was told by Jesse that I needed to be home today as much as possible, I would understand why later. Well shortly after picking up Chris I started to feed the boys. All of a sudden there was s knock on the door. FedEx was dropping off a package.

Jesse had said he wanted to hear all about it (of course that right there kinda led on to it at least wasn't a phone call, lol). So I did one better, I got photos for him, even of me. Yup, I cried.

Are the flowers beautiful!?! I love the bear and the card was the sweetest thing too! Thank you honey, I love you!

Christmas at Our House

A big part of our family was missing this year, of course you all know that. But thankfully we were able to see and chat with Jesse. He was able to watch the kids open some of their presents. I didn't get as many photos as normal but that is ok. You can actually slowly watch our front room become just a whirlwind disaster, lol.

Kids had a pretty nice Christmas huh!

As Jesse posted before, he got a little gift of the IPod Nano, and yes he would have gotten it anyway, the move money just made it possible earlier. In addition to that, I also got something we had be planning to get for awhile too. A new camera! Can you tell the difference in the photos? With this new camera, I was able to take some video as well, and it has sound!

Then in the afternoon we went to a friends house and had Christmas dinner. She made a wonderful turkey! And if you can believe it, it was her first one.

The Stuffing and Pie I made.

That is my friend Sara, whose house we were at.

We all had a lot of fun!

Christmas is in the Air

Our tree has been up for some time now but I finally finished the tree skirt the other day. Yup thats right, I made the tree skirt. It doesn't lay all perfectly flat like I was hoping (hey, I'm still learning) but I'm happy with it.

Close up of the tree skirt.

Here are a few pictures of the kids helping decorate our tree.

Even the outside of our home is decorated. Thanks to my friend's husband, Sean.
